Grants Issues for Great Lakes Restoration

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced

more than $2 million in federal grants to three Southeast Michigan

organizations as part of

President Obama's Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, a $475 million

program that represents the largest investment in the Great Lakes in two

Man Faces Jail for Conserving Water!

I was outraged by an article that I just read on-line. A resident in Orange, California, is facing the possibility of a fine of up to $1,000 and up to six months in jail because he removed the green-grass lawn from in front of his home and instead began planting drought-tolerant plants that use less water.
