This group is designed for system operators and managers of rural water organizations. The goal is to discuss problems, solutions and the many challenges of operating a rural water system.
We are currently undergoing system rehabilitation of our pipes due to pressure losses on some areas of our distribution system and under-size pipes distribution system to a large number of households connections but we encountered problems especially the lack of experience on the system evaluation on pipes pressures and pipes household distribution system.
On the other hand we also planning on introducing booster pumps on the low pressure areas but others considers it very costly in term of operational cost.
can anyone advise on how to address this kind of problem?
I have heard that evaporation is one of the cheapest and easiest way to ake away salt from water, I remember, you can built a manual system that with the sun´s heat will do so
I WILL BE VERY HAPPY IF SOMEBODY CAN PLEASE, TELL ME THE BEST AND CHEAPEST MEANS OF TREATING SALINE WATER IN RURAL AREAS. I AM WRITING A REPORT ON HOW TO PROVIDE CLEAN WATER FOR THE NIGER/DELTA PEOPLE OF NIGERIA WITH AIM OF REDUCING THE RESTIVE SITUATION OF THE AREA. THANKS.
I have a problem at a rural level in Colombia, where small farms can´t use the water from the acueduct because of local laws, I wonder if there are any options to collect, obtain or get water at rural level by farmers.
