How will new stormwater rules, perchlorate ruling and climate change strategy affect you?

Among today's news was a headline in a Connecticut newspaper, "EPA's New Stormwater Industrial Permit Requires Quick Action", about Monday's Federal Register release of the 2008 Multi-sector General Permit (MSGP) after a three-year wait, noting that it "means industrial business owners and facility operators must move quickly." How do you anticipate the new NPDES stormwater permit will affect your business?

In other news, the agency today said it's seeking comment on its decision not to regulate perchlorate on a national level since it's not at levels of public health concern in 99% of public drinking water systems AND it released its "National Water Program Strategy: Response to Climate Change", which focuses on 40 specific actions for the national water program to take, including moves already announced such as the WaterSense water efficiency program, green infrastructure for wet weather management, Climate Ready Estuaries, and the proposed national rule for the injection of carbon dioxide underground.

Feel free to comment on these as well...
