I'm a Class 1 Operator in West Point Georgia. One of the reasons I joined is to be able to interact, share ideas, and look for solutions to the problems us on the clean water side have to deal with, especially at the operator level. I had searched the web a few years ago trying to find a good site, without luck. The only thing I found was wastewater sites. I hope this site helps to address our needs as I intend to stay in the industry until they kick me out.

As a group of individuals with the many diversities of expertise in the Drinking Water industry, I am sure we all bring something to the table. The community is WaterWorld... this serves two fold for one purpose; the water industry and the world. I hope that I may be able to contribute as a resource in both areas.
I began in the water service in 1986 as a water meter reader... since then I have accomplished many things, but I hope to accomplish many more, but my one aspiration that will always hold steadfast is to help someone else in some form or fashion. It is a pleasure to serve with each individual that holds the same values and purpose to see that we can make a difference; one tap at a time.

I am a General Manager in charge of Water Treatment Operations in Kano State of Nigeria. My problem is the ever increasing cost of water treatment components like chemicals, because they are not readily available in sub-Saharan African countries like Nigeria. What is the way out?
